On this 6-day trip to Zhangye, you will enjoy the ancient scenery, the shock of Danxia, and the baptism of history and faith. The blaze of the Danxia in the ice ditch and the dream of the seven-color Danxia are interwoven into the natural wonders, and the solemnity of the Great Buddha Temple and the serenity of the Horseshoe Temple show the profoundness of the Buddhist culture.
This is not only a feast for the eyes and the soul, but also a profound dialog about history, nature and faith, and I hope this wonderful memory will stay in your heart forever.
Fly to Lanzhou, check-in in Lanzhou, and be picked up by a dedicated driver at the airport (high-speed railway station) upon arrival. Arrange to stay in Lanzhou
After breakfast, take the high-speed train to visit Zhangye Colorful Danxia (including the first ticket and a complimentary shuttle bus, with a tour time of about 2 hours). Located at the foot of the magical and beautiful Qilian Mountains, it looks like the morning glow rising from afar, but up close, it falls like a rainbow, with colorful ribbons winding and undulating with the mountain terrain and flowing with the wind. Zhangye Rainbow Danxia is an ancient geological relic that developed during the Jurassic to Tertiary periods. It is a red sandstone preserved during the Himalayan orogeny, which retreated mainly due to crustal uplift and slope collapse. After long-term weathering, stripping, and erosion by flowing water, it has formed isolated strange rocks and rocks. Therefore, its prominent feature is "colored like Wodan and shining like Mingxia". Afterwards, you can appreciate the cultural characteristics of Danxia Town. In the town, you can taste more than 50 authentic Northwest specialty handmade foods such as oil bubbles, fish noodles, fish powder, stir fried paddles, etc. at your own expense. If you are lucky, you can also participate in the lively and ethnic Silk Road performance shows such as welcoming guests, Silk Road business travel, and colorful building recruitment, providing a warm and interesting resting place for travelers. After the tour, take a car to Jiayuguan and check into a hotel to rest!
After breakfast, take a car to visit the Jiayuguan City Tower (including the first ticket and shuttle bus, with a tour time of about 2 hours). Jiayuguan City is located in the middle of the narrowest valley in Jiayuguan City, on the highest mountain, Jiayu Mountain. It is the western end of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall and has been the first pass in Hexi since ancient times. There is a legend circulating in Jiayuguan that praises ancient craftsmen. It is said that during the Ming Dynasty's construction of Jiayuguan, the supervising officials posed a difficult problem to the project supervisor, requiring him to budget materials accurately and without errors. With the help of the craftsmen, the engineering supervisor made precise calculations. When the project was completed, the bricks, tiles, wood, and stones prepared were exactly used up, leaving only one city brick, known as the "last brick". This brick is still placed on the eaves of the gate tower of the Huiji Gate (Xiweng City Gate), and tourists are attracted to take a look at this "last brick", which arouses admiration for the intelligence and wisdom of ancient craftsmen. After visiting the first pier of the Great Wall, which costs 12 yuan for local transportation, also known as Taolai River Pier, it is the southernmost pier of the West Great Wall in Jiayuguan and the westernmost pier of the Ming Dynasty Great Wall. After the tour, take a tourist bus to Dunhuang, passing through the vast Gobi Desert. Although not beautiful, it is vast. The Qilian Mountains in the distance, with snow capped peaks that never melt throughout the year. After arriving in Dunhuang, stay in the hotel and have free activities!

Famous Chinese Cuisine - Dunhuang Style Banquet (Snow Mountain Camel Palm, Mingsha Jujube, Yangguan Rainbow Trout, Beacon Fire Lamb Chop, Desert Wind Sand Chicken, etc.). 2. After breakfast, we will visit and tour the Mogao Caves (approximately 3 hours) - paying tribute to the power of faith, a unique artistic achievement, and a creative masterpiece of genius. The Mogao Caves, commonly known as the Thousand Buddha Caves, are located in Dunhuang at the western end of the Hexi Corridor. The Mogao Grottoes, consisting of hundreds of grottoes with different functions, and their oasis environment in the Gobi Desert, are outstanding examples of Chinese grotto architecture. After lunch, take a bus to Mingsha Mountain Yueya Spring (including the first ticket, the tour time is about 2 hours). Yueya Spring is surrounded by Mingsha Mountain and its shape resembles a crescent moon, hence its name. For thousands of years, the sand mountains have surrounded the springs, and the springs reflect the sand mountains. In the deep valleys of the sand mountains, "the wind carries sand and flies, and the springs reflect the moon and are dust-free. The Crescent Spring has four wonders: the shape of the crescent moon remains as old for thousands of years, the clear flow of water in a place of evil becomes a spring, the sand mountains are not submerged in sand, and the old fish in the ancient pond do not age. From a distance, Mingsha Mountain is clearly blue and yellow, with beautiful curves and winding paths. Riding a camel in the desert, it travels towards the desert.
After breakfast, take a car to Yumen Pass (95 kilometers by car), where you can admire the magnificent work of nature - the Dunhuang Natural Sleeping Buddha from afar, and arrive at Yumen Pass (about 2 hours of sightseeing). The famous line from Tang Dynasty poet Wang Zhihuan's "Liangzhou Ci" "Why complain about the willows on the Qiang flute? The spring breeze does not cross Yumen Pass" has made Yumen Pass famous for eternity. Yumen Pass, commonly known as Xiaofangpan City, was first built when Emperor Wu of Han opened the Western Regions Road and established the four counties of Hexi. The existing snow scenery of Yumen Pass is square shaped, with well preserved city walls around it. It was built with rammed earth and opened with two northwest gates. Passing through Yumen Pass, you can visit the Han Great Wall, which requires taking a shuttle bus at a cost of 50 yuan per person. Along the way, you can enjoy the Han Dynasty beacon towers and beautiful desert scenery. About 80 kilometers west, you can visit the national geological park, Dunhuang Yadan Landform Devil City, including shuttle buses. With its unique desert scenery, diverse geological wonders, and ancient folklore, Dunhuang Yadan National Geological Park has attracted countless brave explorers to uncover the mysterious veil of the "Devil City" and explore the mysteries of nature.
