Dianchi Lake is also known as Kunming Lake or Kunming Lake. Dahu, Yunnan Province, China, is located southwest of Kunming City. There are rivers such as the Panlong River flowing into the lake, with an elevation of 1886 meters and an area of 330 km ². The average depth is 5 meters, and the deepest is 8 meters. The lake water flows out from the southwest estuary and is called Tanglang River, which is the upper source of the Pudu River, a tributary of the Jinsha River.
Dianchi Lake is the largest freshwater lake in Yunnan Province and is known as the pearl of the plateau. In the past, there were often floods and waterlogging in the area around the lake. As early as 1262, Songhua Dam was built on the Panlong River, and in 1268, Haikou River was excavated to increase the outflow of Dianchi Lake and alleviate the flood disasters around the lake. After 1955, more than ten large and medium-sized reservoirs were built on various rivers upstream of the lake, and dozens of electric drainage and irrigation stations were built along the lake to alleviate flood disasters and ensure irrigation of farmland and urban industrial and domestic water supply. Fish such as carp, crucian carp, and money fish are produced in the lake.
