The Ming Tombs are located at the southern foot of Tianshou Mountain in Beijing’s Changping District,occupying an area of over 40 square kilometers.The burial ground is so called because ail thirteen ming emperors who ruled China after the Chinese capital was moved to Beijing were buried there.Of the thirteen tombs,three are currently open to the public,namely,Changling,Dingling and Zhaoling. No other imperial mausoleums in the world are so well preserved and have entombed so many imperial bodies as the Ming Tombs.
Opening time:
Peak season (usually spring and summer): 8:00-18:00, admission stops at 17:30.
Low season (usually fall and winter): 8:30-18:00, closed at 17:00.
