Yuanyang Terraces

Located in the southern part of the Mourning Mountains in Yuanyang County, Yunnan Province, the Yuanyang Terraces are the crystallization of generations of hard work of the Hani people. This terrace is not only the core area of Honghe Hani Terraces, but also an outstanding representative of Hani farming civilization. Terraces with the mountain terrain changes formed a large-scale, magnificent farming spectacle. Hani people use the special geographical and climatic conditions here, created this piece of shocking landscape idyllic painting, showing the harmonious symbiosis of man and nature.

Opening Time:

The Yuanyang Terrace Scenic Area is open all year round and tourists can come to visit anytime. However, in order to enjoy the most beautiful terraced fields, it is recommended that tourists come between November and April each year, which is the best viewing period of the terraced fields.
